Before Dental Implant Surgery

Pre-operative instructions for your dental implant surgery:

Pre-operative care is essential to the success of implants.  At the time of your implant reevaluation with Dr. Gulati he reviewed the treatment plan for the surgical intervention and the recommendations for preoperative management. The following is a review of the preoperative instructions.

If you choose to be sedated for the procedure, then please refer to the “Before Anesthesia” tab for additional instructions. DO NOT have anything to eat or drink six hours prior to your surgery.

If you elect to have the procedure completed under local anesthesia with or without nitrous, no additional instructions are required prior to your procedure.

Below is the list of medications commonly used for the surgical intervention. At the time of your implant reevaluation appointment Dr. Gulati indicated which medications would be prescribed for you specifically. These medications will be sent electronically to your pharmacy. The office staff will be contacting you approximately 1 week prior to your implant surgery and will review instructions with you.
